To reinforce the Beach Front team of Grande Real Santa Eulália Resort & Hotel SPA, in Albufeira, we look for:

Restaurant Manager (M/F)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel and discipline restaurant staff for the efficient operation of the establishment.
• Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings, communicate pertinent information to staff such as menu changes.
• Schedule and organize the team for work.
• Interact positively with customers. Resolve problems in a way that is satisfactory to all parties involved.
• Identify customer needs and respond proactively to them
• Move around dining room and kitchen areas to visually monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met.
• Maintain point of sale profitability to support overall hotel operations. Control costs (minimizing losses and misuse).
• Develop and implement cost reduction and profit increase measures.
• Acting in accordance with established service standards is essential to the successful performance of this position.
• Attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
• Ensure strict compliance with HACCP standards

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Proven experience in Restaurant management – minimum 4 years
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Fluency in English. Other languages considered an asset
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to supervise subordinate employees, including but not limited to assigning duties, evaluating service, and taking disciplinary action when necessary.
• Knowledge of hotel food and beverage operations.
• Knowledge of food and alcoholic beverages.
• Must have basic computer knowledge.
• Budget analysis skills are required to meet financial targets.
• Knowledge of food service techniques and cost controls, such as labor, productivity, food costs and other expenses
• Good knowledge of Symphony software – restaurant management
