Verdelago Resort – Head of Kitchen (M/F) Fulltime

The only 5-star nature resort is being built on the coast of the Eastern Algarve.

A 5-star rated resort, set in a vast green area, comprising several support infrastructures and a wide range of services and amenities, aligned with a healthy, holistic lifestyle, where nature plays a central role, is currently recruiting a Head of Kitchen (M/F) to join its team!

MISSION
– Ensure that all utensils and materials made available to the customer are impeccably clean and in good condition for use.

QUALITY
– Plan, organize, coordinate, direct and execute all pantry services.
– Control and ensure the use of pantry consumables efficiently and within the budget.
– Ensure the responsible use of equipment and materials, eliminating the risk of breakages and additional costs to those anticipated in the budget.
– Ensure the excellence of quality and service required for all guests, leading, motivating and training your team.
– Supervision of tasks and compliance with all standards and procedures (HACCP, H&S and Conduct) in the resort. Keep records of self-controls and ensure their maintenance.

SUSTAINABILITY
– Identify existing resources within the resort to reuse and repurpose in order to reduce waste.

REQUIREMENTS:
– 12th grade
– Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a waiter and/or coffee maker. Previous experience in managing the pantry.
