Verdelago Resort – First Class Cook (M/F) Fulltime

The only 5-star nature resort is being built on the coast of the Eastern Algarve.
Between Altura and Praia Verde, in the heart of the Eastern Algarve, with an area of over 80 hectares, with direct access to the beach, and in complete harmony with nature, which remains intact, paced by its own rhythm and full of its beauty, the Verdelago Resort will be born.
A 5-star rated resort, set in a vast green area, comprising several support infrastructures and a wide range of services and amenities, aligned with a healthy, holistic lifestyle, where nature plays a central role, is currently recruiting a 1st Cook (M/F) to join its team!

MISSION
– Provide a refined gastronomic service to the customer, maintaining the standard required by the hotel and contributing to a good working environment.

QUALITY
– Organize workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment;
– Prepare dishes with the efficiency of the service protocol, ensuring that the customer receives a high level of quality;
– Ensure optimal conditions in terms of both hygiene and quality.

SUSTAINABILITY
– Identify existing resources within the resort to reuse and repurpose in order to reduce waste.

REQUIREMENTS
– Minimum education level: 12th grade (preferred)
– Previous professional experience in 5* Hotels in the 1st Class Cook category (preferred)
– Proficiency in the English language;
– Proficiency in other languages is an added value;
– Technical-professional kitchen training.
– Experience in stock management;
– High knowledge of HACCP standards;
– Experience in plating and garnishing prepared dishes;
– Experience in checking the quality of the preparation and, whenever necessary, proceeding with the preparation.
