Verdelago Resort – Sous-Chef (M/F) Fulltime

The only 5-star nature resort is being built on the coast of the Eastern Algarve.

A 5-star rated resort, set in a vast green area, comprising several support infrastructures and a wide range of services and amenities, aligned with a healthy, holistic lifestyle, where nature plays a central role, is currently recruiting a Deputy Chef (M/F) to join its team!

MISSION
– Provide a refined gastronomic service to the customer, maintaining the standard required by the hotel and contributing to a good working environment.

QUALITY
– You must supervise, organize, manage the entire operation and eventually advise or guide the team;
– Ensure the training of all kitchen staff;
– Communicate to those responsible for each section the information necessary for the proper functioning of the company;
– Respect the quality standards defined by the company;
– Ensure good organization and coordination of each customer service;
– Ensure with the Head of the Kitchen that the production areas are in an excellent state of cleanliness and in accordance with the hygiene standards in force in the company;
– Be responsible for the quality of the products and goods used in the sections.

SUSTAINABILITY
– Identify existing resources within the resort to reuse and repurpose in order to reduce waste.

REQUIREMENTS
– Minimum education level: 12th grade (preferred)
– Technical-professional kitchen training;
– Knowledge of computers from the user's perspective;
– Foreign languages – English;
– Proven experience in the role.
