We are looking for a 1st class cook to bring energy, hospitality and memorable experiences to our guests at the vibrant Onda Restaurant. If you have a passion for food and want to be part of a dynamic team inspired by the ocean—this is your chance to shine!

Main responsibilities:

• Food Preparation & Quality Control: Perform daily food preparation tasks according to restaurant standards. Ensure that raw and prepared products meet quality requirements and are presented in the best possible way.
• Menu Knowledge & Compliance with Regulations: Know all the dishes on the menu, recipes and presentation standards. Strictly comply with food handling, storage and hygiene regulations.
• Kitchen Operations & Communication: Operate and maintain kitchen equipment in good condition. Foster a positive and efficient work environment through effective communication with colleagues and across departments.
• Hygiene & Safety Standards: Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards, both inside and outside the workplace. Monitor proper food storage, expiration dates and correct preservation of products.
• Collaboration & Feedback: Work closely with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef on daily needs and last minute events. Provide ongoing feedback and report any issues immediately.

Core Skills:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef, with at least 1 year of experience in supervision, preferably in a busy restaurant or luxury hotel. Fluency in Portuguese and English is mandatory.
• Communication & Adaptability: Excellent communication skills, flexible working hours and ability to multitask to meet deadlines and job requirements.
• Compliance with Standards & Professionalism: Attendance at all mandatory meetings and training sessions. Maintenance of high standards of personal appearance and compliance with Aethos Hotel regulations and standards.
• Hospitality Experience: Previous experience in hospitality or luxury brands is valued, as well as a warm, friendly attitude and a commitment to excellent service.
• Authorization to Work: Possess the necessary documentation to work in a European Union country.
