Hotel Forte de Gaia – Pastry Chef (m/f) Fulltime

Hotel Forte de Gaia is currently recruiting a Pastry Chef to join its team!

MISSION:
This professional will be responsible for managing and supervising the pastry section, ensuring that the products are prepared and cooked to the highest quality standards. He/she will coordinate the team, ensuring compliance with the hygiene and food safety standards in force at the hotel.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Plan, organize and supervise the production of pastries;
– Ensure the quality and presentation of products, respecting the standards defined by the company;
– Coordinate the pastry team, distributing tasks and ensuring a productive and collaborative work environment;
– Manage stocks and assess product and ingredient needs;
– Ensure the correct application of food hygiene and safety standards (HACCP);
– Develop new creations and innovate in the pastry offering, following the sector’s trends;
– Train and motivate the team, promoting excellence in service and professional development of employees.

REQUIREMENTS:
– Technical-professional training in Pastry;
– Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the role, preferably in 5* Hotels;
– In-depth knowledge of pastry and confectionery techniques;
– Proficiency in English (knowledge of a second language is valued);
– Ability to manage teams and production processes.
