The Hoti Hoteis hotel group began its activity in 1978, having been linked to numerous important developments in Portugal and in Portuguese-speaking African countries, including the Hotel D. Henrique **** (Porto), the Grande Hotel do Porto *** (Porto), the Grande Hotel da Figueira **** (Figueira da Foz), the Hotel Solverde Granja ***** (Espinho), the Hotel Montebelo **** (Viseu), the Hotel Hotti Bissau **** (Guinea-Bissau), the Hotel TRYP Lisboa Oriente **** (Lisbon, Parque das Nações), the Hotel TRYP Porto Expo **** (Matosinhos, Exponor), the Meliá Ria Hotel & Spa **** (Aveiro), the Meliá Madeira Mare Resort & Spa ***** (Funchal), the Hotel Star inn Porto *** (Porto), Meliá Braga Hotel & Spa ***** (Braga), the Hotel da Música **** (Porto) and the TRYP Lisboa Aeroporto **** (Lisbon). Hoti Hoteis was the company selected by Expo'98 to provide hotel services during that important event.
The Group's most recent developments are in 2015 the opening of the Hotel TRYP Leiria **** (Leiria, 70 rooms) and the total renovation of the TRYP Lisboa Oriente **** (Lisbon, 207 rooms), in 2016 the beginning the operation of the Hotel TRYP Lisboa Caparica Mar **** (Costa da Caparica, 352 rooms), the remodeling of the Meliá Ria **** (Aveiro, 128 rooms) and the beginning of construction of the Hotel Star inn Lisbon *** ( Lisbon, 173 rooms).
In 2017, the Hoti Hoteis Group acquired the Hotel Golden Residence **** (Funchal).
During this year, Hoti Hoteis opened the Hotel Meliá Setúbal **** (Setúbal, 112 rooms), started the construction of the Moxy Lisboa (222 rooms), started the construction of the Hotel Innside Lisboa (105 rooms) and marked its 40th anniversary with the opening of Meliá Maputo Sky**** (Maputo, 172 rooms).
The size and relevance of the Hoti Hoteis group in the context of national tourism is easily demonstrated by the presentation of data from the “Hotel Industry Atlas” by the international consultancy Deloitte. In its 2019 edition, the Hoti Hoteis Group is positioned as the 5th largest hotel group with a national presence.
