Head Waiter (m/f) Fulltime

The Portugal Best Holiday (PBH) group, a reference in quality tourism in Portugal, is recruiting a Head Waiter (m/f) for the Wine & Books Porto Hotel.

Wine & Books Hotels offer an innovative hotel concept based on what best defines the Portuguese people and Portuguese culture: literature, gastronomy, wines, fado and hospitality.

This 5* boutique hotel is part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) portfolio.

Main responsibilities:
• Supervise the entire team of waiters and room service, ensuring a sophisticated, personalized and memorable experience through the provision of an excellent service;
• Welcome, integrate and train the room team;
• Respond promptly and promptly to guests’ requests, preferences and needs, ensuring their maximum satisfaction;
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service;
• Supervise the organization and cleaning of the room;
• Collaborate in the management and resolution of complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.

Ideal profile:
• Training in the Hotel/Restaurant area (preferential factor);
• Proven experience in the role, in high quality restaurants or 5* hotel units;
• Ability to lead and motivate the team to provide an excellent service, in accordance with the highest quality standards;
• Planning and organization skills;
• High standards of hygiene and food safety;
• Proficiency in English (eliminatory), other languages will be valued;
• Honest profile, committed to excellence and continuous improvement;
• Careful presentation;
• Flexibility of schedules.
