If you are studying related to Hotel Management or Events, and are looking for internships for the current academic year, Iberostar Group we offer internships in the hotel's Commercial department Iberostar Selection Lisbon.

What will you learn?

If you enjoy daily contact with guests and strive to ensure their satisfaction by offering them the best experience at our hotels, you could work as a Group/Event Coordinator, whose responsibilities include:

– Respond to all group and event inquiries in accordance with the guidelines implemented within the Group;

– Review rates, groups, deadlines and waiting lists;

– Meet and greet the customer and monitor the location where the event is taking place;

– Organize visits to hotels and respond to requests;

– Be involved in group and event negotiations to maximize the Hotel’s results;

– Always promote hotel facilities and also know the strengths and weaknesses of competitors;

– Monitor the reservation, negotiate contractual conditions with customers and close the deal;

– Ensure confirmed customer requirements are presented as requested;

– Report all groups and events, informing which proposals were presented, the current status, follow-ups, position vs. competitors;

– Ensure follow-up with the Hotel and complete the collection process, ensuring that payment is negotiated and finalized;

What are we looking for in you?

– Attend a technical or university course related to Hotel Management or similar.

– High level of spoken and written English.

– Strong communication, planning and organizational skills;

– A strong desire and drive to work towards goals, a sense of commitment and team spirit.
