To form our first Accommodation teams, we are recruiting:
Executive Governor – M/F
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Establish and maintain cleaning, laundry and public area procedures, taking into account occupancy rate, time and use of facilities
· Ensure that the maintenance and cleanliness of rooms and public areas are maintained to the standards set by the hotel
· Inspection of all storage areas in accordance with the hotel's hygiene, cleanliness and service standards. To ensure all rooms are cleaned to the highest standard, stocks are replenished and all necessary maintenance is carried out
· Identify areas for improvement in daily operations and report/suggest them to the Accommodation Director
· Ordering, controlling and maintaining all hotel linen stocks, including linen used in guest rooms, restaurant and spa departments, and uniforms for all hotel team members. Ensure that all linens and uniforms used have an appearance and quality that meets hotel standards.
· Ensure the care and maintenance of special fabrics throughout the hotel through regular washing
· Coordination with all related departments for all operational matters
· Preparation, introduction and maintenance of all necessary Housekeeping reports and documentation (inventories, scales and all other reports necessary to carry out duties). A precise input of relevant information in the PMS
· Be aware of all hotel facilities and services to be able to answer guests with general questions
· Prepare, change and update hotel cleaning SOPs and transmit to the team. Supervises the efficient implementation of all SOPs belonging to the Housekeeping Department and verifies their professional execution
· Assist and plan preventative maintenance of cleaning equipment
· Monitor and control all lost and found procedures
· Compile records and statistics on guest supplies, room occupancy and analyze fluctuations
· Closely monitor costs and expenses to meet expected budget and takes appropriate action in case of discrepancies
· Prepare periodic budgets, forecasts and capital expenditures for the department
· Prepare and report periodic inventories of linens, amenities, uniforms and any related items
· Represent the hotel at meetings and any other events related to Housekeeping issues, which may occur in the country or abroad, when necessary
· Liaise with the Accommodation Director regarding Guest Feedback results, ensure responsible departments are kept informed and make suggestions for improvements and set targets for cleaning teams
· Assist the Accommodation Director with any projects and special requests when necessary
· Assist the Director of Accommodations and the Director of Human Resources in the selection and recruitment of Housekeeping team members, through interviews and guidance
· In coordination with the L&D Manager, establish training and development plans for subordinates and organize and facilitate on-the-job training sessions in order to develop knowledge and skills
· Actively participate in matters related to the department's HR, recruitment, performance analysis, training and development, succession plans and disciplinary procedures
· Maintain a high level of team spirit, developing excellent relationships with the team and colleagues from other departments, and supporting them in achieving departmental and general company objectives
· Promotion of all Hotel services and the surrounding community.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Passion for the art of welcoming with refinement
· Qualifications: Secondary education/Hotel Management completed
· Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Housekeeping Manager in a 5* hotel with similar room stock and facilities. Minimum 1 year as Executive Housekeeper in a luxury hotel. Exposure in FO and Laundry is desirable
· Knowledge of Housekeeping products and processes
· Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to guest comments
· Organization and prioritization skills
· Ability to maintain guest and hotel confidentiality
· Planning ability
· Public relations skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Ability to multitask and work under pressure
· Knowledge of the Opera System (preferred)
· Strong dedication to work and profession, with great attitude and attention to detail
· I like teamwork and the ability to promote a good environment
· Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
· Experience in the role and learning capacity
· Strong notions of luxury hospitality, applicable to your role
